We seek a full-time Out-Patient Physical Therapist for 40 hours per week to work as part of a team providing physical therapy in a busy outpatient practice to a diverse Harvard community population, as prescribed by a Harvard University Health Services clinician.
The Physical Therapist motivates and encourages patients toward self-management and positive outcomes. Assesses patient condition; establishes a formal plan of care to address patient needs; documents treatment and progress in a timely manner; provides and documents instruction to the patient and family; performs discharge planning. Ability to design and fabricate splints. Carries out other related duties as required.
Required Education, Experience, Skills
Basic Requirements: Bachelor's or Masters' degree and two-three years of clinical work experience in outpatient musculoskeletal therapy. Current Massachusetts physical therapy license. Additional Requirements: Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Hand injuries; splint and student preceptor experience preferred. Willingness to learn new skills and to work as part of a team in a changing environment.
Additional Information
Must be flexible, as shift may occasionally vary according to coverage.
